We are very happy to announce that Andrew Bradley, Chair, IDI Design Enterprise Skillnet, has been appointed by the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald, T.D., to the Board of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI).
Andrew Bradley has been at the forefront of brand and design thinking in Ireland for over 20 years. His company Bradley Brand has created some of Ireland’s best-known household names. He is an active member of the Institute of Designers in Ireland (IDI) of which he was President from 2013 to 2015 and Chair of the IDI’s Design Enterprise Skillnet.
Minister Fitzgerald said Andrew Bradley’s input at Board Level “will be instrumental in strategically developing DCCoI and the design and craft sector in Ireland, contributing to our economy and culture, and to Ireland’s international reputation for excellence in design and craftsmanship.”
Breege O’Donoghue, Chair of The Design & Crafts Council of Ireland, said she “is confident that Andrew will play an instrumental role in the sector’s continued development and success.”
Commenting on the announcement, Andrew Bradley said “I believe my appointment is a reflection of the importance of the IDI to the DCCoI in forming future policy, I am honoured and excited at the prospect of effecting change in our sector.”
